Hello Everyone,
We are so ready for the summer to start. This year has been quite enlightening and busy. I am looking forward to new beginnings and enjoying watching our youngest grow into a young man. He will be a senior this Fall and to be a part of his growth and how far he has come is a true blessing. What are your plans for the Memorial Day weekend coming up?

Here are some things you can do with your little ones-high school, especially those that are on the spectrum:

3. Evan-Moor Daily Word Problems, Grade 3, Homeschooling & Classroom Resource Workbook, Problem-Solving Real Life Math Skills, Reproducible Worksheet ... Fractions, Time (Daily Word Problems Math

I hope you all get a chance to try these workbooks, we have most of them in our home library that I have used throughout the years, some more than others, LOL! I continue to use them because sometimes there is a summer loss in learning, even into the high school years for autistic teens and adults. Lots of resources out there as well for free, you just have to do a little digging.

Until next time have a fantastic Memorial Day weekend with your family and keep on advocating.

~M.

Happy Spring! Happy Autism Awareness Month!

"As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases." https://homeschoolspecneedstidbits.com/affiliate-disclosure/ Happy Tuesday to you! It has been a minute. We have been busy with school; both my autistic son, my neurotypical daughter, and I are all remotely doing our studies online, and it can be interesting at times. Sometimes, we see one another in the evening or afternoon, but we always sit down together for dinner, which is a blessing. Mainly just to talk about our days and see how each other is doing, although we are all in the same home we all have different lives and schedules, LOL!  What did you all do for spring break? We had a severe staycation, during which we rested, binged, and relaxed some more. It was such a fun time, and it was sad that it was only 5-7 days, but at least we all were there together. I hope this post finds you all safe, enjoying your families, and creating long-lasting memories.  Until next time, take care of yourself and each other....

Have an Awesome Labor Day Weekend 2022!

We got Hit by a BOMB Storm on Tuesday the 20th 2024

"As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases." https://homeschoolspecneedstidbits.com/affiliate-disclosure/ Hello Everyone, It's been a while since I last posted because we lost power on Tuesday, but it has just been restored. We experienced a whirlwind of a storm that hasn't hit the PNW in decades, even making it onto National News weather coverage! I apologize for my absence, but I simply couldn't get online to update you all. For those with power and generators, please take a moment to appreciate the kind neighbors and friends who care about you and have your best interests at heart. Our community's generosity helped us through this tough time, and it has been a blessing to witness how kind people can be. As we approach the giving season of Christmas and Thanksgiving in 2024, please extend your support to those in need of the many things we often take for granted. Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday season with your loved ones. ~MomAdvoca...
