Good Morning and Happy Friday!

How are you doing today? I picked out this picture because it is definitely how I feel today with everything that is happening in the world. Sometimes you have to just let your hair down and get silly with yourself. Life comes at you fast and you have to decide if you are going to let the world and peoples' actions squelch your spirit or just get childish and enjoy the moment. When COVID-19 hit it was such an overwhelming state of mind in our household and around the country, but what I did see and am still very proud to see is people coming together and helping each other out. So even though it seems a bit crazy now, take time to savor every day and let your loved ones know you love them. At the end of the day, no one has the right to take away your happiness or peace of mind.

My oldest is in her 3rd year of college and chose to do her studies remotely and loves it. As you already know, our youngest is autistic and he is in his final year of high school. Lots to think about and do in this final push and the journey still continues. We are anticipating just relaxing this 3-day weekend, so that we have time to refresh, take naps and whatever else is in store. So far, we have had a bunch of rain that just keeps on coming here in the PNW, but it did finally stop today with more in the forecast, LOL! If you are trying to figure out what movies are out to watch this holiday season, we can think of a few that are our family's favorites during the holidays. The Teen Years in Autism

I think our son is at his highest, in regard to his anxiety level, and thankfully we have been able to get him to talk more about what is bothering him (that doesn't always work) but helping him find his voice and us listening helps him get it out of his system. We have found a temporary fix to him navigating all of the news headlines of the day and there are a lot and as we all know NONE of it is good news. It is like once he reads a headline, this invades his entire day, and his homework doesn't get done ***SIGH***. So, we have decided to take away his phone temporarily and only return it to him after he is done with his homework. It seems to be working really well and he is definitely not as preoccupied or distracted by the world around him. School
